On Saturday June 25th the Oakland Roots players replaced their own names on their jerseys in favor of 'Oakland Soul' to signify the importance of allyship as we launched our women's team.
Following the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v Wade, the organization decided to take a clear stand in support of all those affected by this decision nationwide.
We are auctioning off these authentic, match-worn kits with 100% of the proceeds going to Access Reproductive Justice (ARJ), which exists to remove barriers to sexual and reproductive healthcare and build the power of Californians to demand health, justice, and dignity. The organization also works with an extensive volunteer network to assist with travel expenses and logistics for those traveling to California seeking access to a clinic. Learn more at accessrj.org.
